In order to express gratitude to Dr. Chang Chau-Ting, the Director of the Institute of Atomic and Molecular Sciences (IAMS) Preparatory Office, for his lifelong contribution to science education and research in Taiwan, and his dedicated efforts in preparing for the establishment of IAMS, the institute took advantage of IAMS 10th anniversary celebration on June 16, 2005 to build a memorial hall for Dr. Chang. The memorial hall and corridors are in memory of him.
