In September 2023, The Institute of Astronomy and Astrophysics joined the "Transneptunian Automated Occultation Survey (TAOS II)." The telescopes of TAOS II were calibrated at the Observatorio Astronomico Nacional at San Pedro Mártirin in Mexico.
