In the 1950s, the first-generation campus gate of Academia Sinica was constructed at the intersection of the present-day Institute of Economics, Fu Ssu-Nien Library lawn, Institute of Ethnology, and the Museum of the Institute of History and Philology. The address at the time was No. 46, Jiuzhuang Road, Nankang Township, Taipei County.
