The new Research Building of the Institute of Ethnology, designed by architect Han Bao-De, was completed in 1985 and named "Ling Shun-Sheng Hall." It embodies the beauty of intertwining postmodernism and traditional Minnan architecture, presented through modern craftsmanship. It now serves as the Museum of the Institute of Ethnology.
