Academia Sinical hosted a symposium on "Climate Change Mitigation and Energy Transition" on September 11, 2019. Speakers included Hans Joachim Schellnhuber, Director Emeritus of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK), a world-renowned climate research center based in Germany. Director Schellnhuber shared updates on climate science as well as government policies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and achieve a clean energy transition.
