The Board Members of the China Foundation for the Promotion of Education and Culture (CFPEC), established in 1924 to have custody and control of the second remission of Boxers Rebellion reparations paid to the United States by China, was an important organization promoting the development of modern Chinese science and culture. The Photo shows the 6th Annual Meeting of the Board of Trustees held on July 2, 1930, at the Ministry of Education in Nanjing.
