On October 10, 1941, Chinese Ambassador to the U.S., Hu Shih (middle), along with United China Relief Chairman James G. Blaine (right), presented the Sino-American Friendship Ten Thousand Signatures Book to U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt. This photograph was taken by renowned photographer Cheng Shih, who was residing in the United States at the time.
