The original archives room was located in the Central Administrative Office. However, due to its low-lying location and aging structure, which had undergone multiple repairs, rainwater still seeped through the walls during heavy rain in 2009, damaging the archives. Then Vice President of Academia Sinica Chien-Jen Chen coordinated the relocation of the Biodiversity Research Center's Zoological collections and Herbarium, originally housed in the Biology Building, to a new location. Following three years of renovations, the archives room were moved to the first floor of the Biology Building in 2015. The Yellow Tile Building currently serves as the archives room for the Central Administrative Office, as well as offices for the Secretariat and the Department of International Affairs. The photo was taken in 2024.
