Inauguration of the Center for American Studies (Current Institute of European and American Studies) in 1972

The Center for American Studies was officially inaugurated in September 1972, including research rooms, offices, a conference hall, and a library. In July 1974, the Center for American Studies was restructured as the Institute of American Culture. To address the growing need for European studies, it was renamed the Institute of European and American Studies on August 3, 1991.
