In 1982, the Institute of American Culture (the predecessor of the Institute of European and American Studies) named their library building the Wang Shih-Chieh Memorial. The former Academia Sinica President Chien Shih-Liang (right) and the former Director of the Institute of American Culture Yen Chu (left) unveiled the plaque at the Wang Shih-Chieh Memorial.
