After over two years of research, Academia Sinica released its "Strategic Recommendations for Science and Technology Actions towards Net Zero Emission in Taiwan" on November 30, 2022. The white paper recommended specific technologies that the government could pursue to reach 2050 net zero goal, including Methane Pyrolysis to Power (MPTP), High-Efficiency Solar Cells, Marine Energy, Geothermal Energy, and Biomass Carbon Sinks.
