In 1982, the Institute of Modern History and the Institute of American Culture (now the Institute of European and American Studies) jointly constructed a three-story Research Building, which is now the Jin Mei Building, shared by the Lingnan Fine Arts Museum and the Kuo Ting-Yee Library.
