The modified palace-style building of the Institute of Ethnology was completed in 1963. The building was named "Chu Chia-Hua Hall" and was known for its grandeur. The offices of Presidents Wang Shih-Chieh and Chien Shih-Liang were once located in this building, which was later demolished and rebuilt as Chia-Hua Building, the current Central Administrative Office. The photo shows the main entrance and the west side door of the building.
