On February 24, 1962, President Hu Shih hosted the 5th Convocation of Academicians at the Tsai Yuan-Pei Memorial Hall, a two-story structure built on the elevated site of shell mound within Nankang Campus. The photo captures President Hu Shih presiding over a meeting. Seated at the table are Tsung-Wu Yao (first from right), Shun-Sheng Ling (second from left), Shu-Jen Yang (third from left), Hu Shih (fourth from left), and Wang Shih-Chieh (second from right). The photographer was Chiu-Tao Chang.
